Appearance

This really is an amazing piece. I have owned it for four years now and am just getting around to review it because time is the key to a good review. The Item is solidly build but hollow which makes it lightweight. It can easily handle two adults sitting on it with no problem. If you plan on leaving it out all winter I would spray it with a lacquer . I recommend behlen jet spray (available online)suitable for resin because even though they tell you its safe for outdoor use, cold weather and  freeze and thaw plays havoc on pretty much anything. I would also cover it. I bring mine in each winter and store it in the garage just in case. Its done great and it is easy to move. Most folks think its solid concrete but its reinforced resin. I give it five stars but only if you follow precautionary procedures during winter months.

This bench is so classic and beautiful It came crated for damage protection. It's everything I expected.  I just wish I had the options for the crate to be opened by the driver.  I think it's called ""White Glove"" delivery.

I have had this bench for almost three years and it has held up well in southern CA. Delivery and packaging were both over the top. It's a very stately piece and a beautiful focal point upon entering my front gate. Totally pleased with this purchase; I love it.

As several other people have also pointed out: 

1. It is beautiful
2. It is--extremely--difficult to put together. 
3. This is not because we do not know how to put items together. It is a manufacturing defect. The metal bolts designed to connect the legs to the bench are simply too short. It is virtually impossible to put together. We had to use tape, and push the bolts through the tape, to hold them in place. 
4. This is clearly ridiculous, took over an hour to figure out, and should be fixed in the design of the product itself. 

So, feel free to buy--it is gorgeous--but know, beforehand, putting it together is unnecessarily difficult.

Beautiful but very, very hard to put together

The bench is beautiful in my garden but the assembly was very difficult. Took more than several minutes to attach the legs to the seat portion because you can't see where the screws insert. I gave this product 4 stars because the design should be changed to make the assembly easier. It requires a lot of patience.

Neoclassical Bench

Although the bench is nice looking, Toscano must address a couple of issues: packing is extremely difficult to remove for the homeowner who does not have the tools or manpower required to do so; Toscano should provide a fully assembled unit, or the delivery should include assembling of it. As a customer (75 year old female), I had to pay the delivery man to remove the packing and place the unit on my front porch, since I could not carry it; then, I had to find a handyman to assemble it and pay for it...the screws were not long enough and it was quite difficult and time consuming to get the unit ready...all of this could have been a avoided if the installation had been provided by Design Toscano.
