Yes it does. The "pusher" also is used as a lid when blending, or chopping so nothing splatters out.

The Hamilton Beach ChefPrep 525-Watt Food Processor comes with 2 Slicer/Shredder Disc (regular and fine) and 1 Chopping Blade (that also kneads dough, mixes, etc.) This food processor is very user friendly and efficient.

About as easy as anything. No problem whatsoever.

This is my first food processor, so i'm not real familiar with the different types. However, the blades on this are very easy to change. The only speeds are 1, 2 and pulse. Though I've only used it once, I think it's great. I can't wait to use it to slice, for crinkle cut fries, etc.

I have used the GE model and I was not happy with it and returned it. It comes with 2 blades...chopping and dough blade. So you do have to change 'em. But the shredding disc is not stable and wobbles.

With this HB model, its only one blade which does all the jobs.

Is it a big deal changing the blades? I'm debating buying the 14 cup GE that has one blade and has buttons to push for slice,dough,pulse.

It comes with an instruction manual, of course but not a recipe booklet. There are great recipes on line. You will be surprised how many uses you have for it once it is on your counter.

I have used / owned brands like Kitchenaid and Cuisinart the Hamilton Beach I'm so Glad I gave this Brand chance. In the past I thought of this brand as cheap and low quality. I have changed my mind. Push buttons would
have beueun nice but probably would have raised the price..It chops slices and shreds in secons. I was worried I would have trouble with cheese put it in the freezer for 20 to 30 min. And it shreds like a whiz.The base is stable when in use.the suction cups actually work the 1 year warranty is great.

Easy to use. Large enough bowl to make salsa quickly. I put the onions and peppers in first and the tomatoes on top, then pulse chop for perfect chunky salsa. This is my first food processor and I love it! Can't wait to try shredding some cheese and slicing potatoes or cucumbers. Seems to have more than enough power.

I have never had a food processor. Last year I bought another highly rated brand but it was so complicated to just get it going, because of safety features, that I decided to give it to my daughter. She rejected it for the same reason. I then returned it. So this year I decided I really wanted one and saw this Hamilton Beach. It is just what I was looking for. It is so simple to use and the safety feature of a locked bowl and lid is more than adequate. I have only had it a week but have used it 10 times and it has preformed wonderfully. I sliced carrots, shredded zucchini, sliced cucumbers, made a cookie crumb crust and even used it to whip up a cheese cake. I hope it is durable and will last a long time. At the Walmart price it is a steal. Don't be afraid to try this because it is inexpensive. It does the job and then some.

Great machine

It's my first full size food processor and I just love it! The bowl seems like it would crack easily so I'm very careful with it. But I've used it several times for salsas, hashbrowns, veggies and to grate soap for homemade laundry detergent. I've washed it in the dish washer every time (top rack only) and have had no problems with it.

This is awesome!

It's great for chopping up fruit and vegetables. I'm disappointed it is not designed to grind seeds and grains, or process any thing that will marr the clear plastic cannister. The cannister should fit to the base more snuggly. It tends to travel from vibration or touching which causes the motor sensor to shut off the motor until the cannister is nudged back exactly in the run position.

I like that the main cutting blade easily lifts out allowing free access to and easing pouring of the chopped or pureed material from the cannister.

It works ok but the opening is rectangular so not that wide. You can't put a full cucumber or tomato or onion in it.
You have to slice the cucumber in half and onion too to make it fit. Not a big deal for the discount price I guess but it would not cost them that much more to make a really big circular opening right?
