Yes, you can protect the player against accidental operation during transportation by setting the HOLD switch on the side. By sliding the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow, all operation buttons are disabled. If you slide the HOLD switch in the opposite position, the HOLD function is released.

You need headphones or attach speakers to listen to this player. You can use an auxillary cable to play it on cd players or booms boxes.

This model does not have speakers , the next model up does.

There is no internal speakers to playback audio from this device. You would require external speakers or headphones.

It depends on which one you buy. I have the ESeries so it doesn't have internal speakers. But the other series I can't remember whichh one, has it.

This product is not a touch screen but is very sensitive to the touch to turn it on. You need to be careful how you hold it so that if you want it off it doesn't come on and waste its charge.
