We have 4 grand kids (ages 3 - 9) that love to play with the Leapster 2. It sure keeps them from getting bored, even the oldest. I've noticed that the younger ones are picking up numbers, colors, spelling etc. They all seem to love it. I'm going to pick up another, so they don't argue over who's turn it is.
I bought this for birthday gift.We have niece in family that has one.It was time this year for my son to have one.He plays on our niece's when we go visit. The only negative I might say about this product is the games can be a little over priced, for the system itself. Here and there they have sales on some of the games.Overall I think we will be happy with this purchase.
I picked up my lamp at my Fed Ex store. The box was in great shape however, when I took the lamp out the glue that holds it onto the base was not working. The light was separated from the base and was completely apart. I plugged it in and it did work, however, it was very plastic and cheap in quality. I returned it to the store.
Supervise children -batteries come out very easily
My 2 year old wanted a camera like her big sister's... we got this as a gift for her on her 2nd birthday. Within a week, I found the batteries in the toy room and the battery cover off. She has taken it off easily twice more since then. I am shocked they have a toy geared for younger children but do nothing to prevent them from taking the batteries out. I wrote the company and was told they are only required to have a screw on the battery compartment for toys geared to 24 months and younger. (Note: the older model did have the screw on the door). Very disappointed...such an easy fix to make it safer for the kids.
