Drove home in heavy rain and tires performed perfectly. Smooth & quiet ride, Great wet traction. However, the experience at the local tire center lacked total customer service. When I arrived and found no one was in front of me, I thought I would be out within the hour. After doing some shopping I check the tire center to find sevearl people had been serviced infront of me and my car had not been touched until an hour later. When questioned the clerk got a smart attitude. Guess that is where they can price their products lower by cutting out customer service.
I couldn't believe it when I came across this size tire at such a reasonable price, free delivery to my local store that has the carcare center, mounting is free but with balancing and taxes it came to $50 bucks when the day is done but the value of these nice tires is well worth it they handle and look great !!
...and not even 2 years! My driving habits were mostly highway, 55-65 MPH, rarely in snow or ice, typical stuff. I have an old Rav4 so it's not like I was driving 90MPH, taking corners at high speeds, or peeling out from stoplights. Nor was my car over-heavy. I had the tires rotated on schedule but that didn't seem to matter...they're almost bald with only 35K miles on them. VERY disappointed.
These tire are used on a farm truck and the handling on gravel roads is much better than the OEM tires. Also when on field roads the ability to shed mud is great. The overall truck MPG stayed about the same and the tires have very low road noise.
So far this tire has one of the better tires I've installed on my Jeep XJ. I've had the opportunity to test them in drizzle, full on pouring rain and dry pavement and they have performed very well. We don't really get snow that accumulates so can't say anything about that. I commute 90 miles round trip a day on the highway and was surprised that the increase in noise was so minimal I am thinking that I am making up the increase in my mind. I will add to my review once I've put a few miles on them to see how they stand up.
The walmart site puts a picture up of this tire that is a white wall after ordering and driving 30 miles to pick up these tires, they do not even come in white wall and all the discription says is mostly black very misleading and disappointing.
First, I'd like to say that these tires have exceeded my expectations! Honestly, I was just looking for an inexpensive all season tire that \"looked\" like it could perform \"well enough\" in ice and snowy conditions# I was skeptical given that these tires didn't have any reviews on them 6 years ago when they probably first came out#\n\nI don't drive anything with less than 2\/32 remaining so at least we know it lives up to its warranty# The survey ratings given by customers for this tire on tirerack#com are very accurate considering it currently has over 18,000,000 miles reported by a whole magnitude of customers# Go there, compare it to other tires, and make an informed decision that best suits your budget#\n\nI live in MN so I need an all season tire that handles well in snow and ice without burning a hole in my pocket# This tire fits the bill#\n\nThe 1 star review on here is unfair# If you rotate your tires every 6,000 miles, check your tire pressure AT LEAST once a week, and drive on good shocks\/struts, then there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get 85,000 out of these# So if you want less biased tire reviews, check tirerack#com as there are many more tire reviews there than anywhere else I'm currently aware of# As of today, Walmart has one of the best prices I've seen for these tires#\n\nTire Reviews? ---> http:\/\/www#tirerack#com\/tires\/tires#jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Solus+KR21
I put 2 of these tires on the rear of my 88 T-Bird a year and almost 12,000 miles ago both are at 10\/32nds and still going great. I'm writing this because I am about to order 2 more. If that tells anyone if I liked the tires or not.
After reading so many positive reviews, I purchased these Kumho SAT's for my Toyota FJ Cruiser to replace The Bridgestone Dueller HTs that were on the vehicle. I cannot speak highly enough of these Kumhos...was I ever amazed...I have always had a bit of a shake in the steering wheel with the bridgestones but after putting these on it and a road force balance my FJ rides like a BMW or Audi...it's that smooth, even though these are all terrain tires...they grip, drive, and look awesome...better then my other Michelin MTs and way less money....will never run any other tire on the FJ...oh and to top it off, they are snow rated as good as a snow tire but come with a 60k tread warrenty...try getting a tread warrenty with any dedicated snow tires...these are great!
