This kitchen island is AWESOME!!!!

We have a large kitchen but not enough counter space. We considered having an island custom built but the quotes were above $1000. When we saw this ""build your own"" kitchen island with the wood color choices and granite tops we thought we'd give it a shot! WOW! The wood veneer we chose (country oak) is a close enough match and the black & white granite blends in and makes the piece look like it belongs! It took my husband all day to put it together but we still feel it was worth it. The bottom (cabinet base) & the top (granite slab) arrive separately & the boxes are VERY heavy so I would recommend you get a strong friend to help you. One of the doors didn't quite match up to the magnetic closure but if you lift it a tad then it closes just fine, it's also a small price to pay for such a lovely kitchen island. So far it's been finished and up in our Kitchen for only 2 days and we've used it non-stop!!! We are REALLY pleased with this purchase and would recommend it!

Quality, worth the money

This cart is a piece of furniture for your home. First of all it arrived at our door every quickly even before I expected it. It took my husband about 1.5 hours to assemble, the only help he needed was lifting the granite top on the cart. He used wood glue (suggested previously) on all the joints and the glue has made it very very strong. If you take your time with assembly it will come together easy. The drawers are kind of short but the cabinet storage on either side of the drawers makes up for that. I have a narrow kitchen so I leave the cart pushed up against the wall but when I need more prep area I just wheel it over, it is very easy to move. It looks wonderful with our light wood floors, if it didn't have wheels it would look like it was a built in unit. I searched for a long time looking for carts and this one was the best for the money. Don't let the assembly part fool you, this has great wood and once together is a nice piece of furniture for your home. I wish I would have purchased this cart a long time ago. You won't be disappointed.
