This couldn't have been easier! I plugged it in, turned on the dimmer control, and the lights came on. So much easier than one I got that was programmed to your phone. I never could get it working, so I returned it and bought this one. Perfect!!

This works great with the string lights we hung on the deck! The remote works well for turning the on and off, just plug the lights into it, and it to the outlet. The dimmer is great for setting the mood, bright for dinner and cards, dim them for relaxing!!
