For those the like it, or need it, it's great

It's just good old Blackstrap and this is Sulphur free which is best for human consumption. It is strong flavored, some call it bitter, and I understand it still contains about 45% sugar so it is sweetish. For the uniformed it is what is left when cane juice is processed all the way down. The residue after the first cook down and white sugar crystals removed is called "light molasses" (sold as "Grandma's"). After the second cook down and extraction is dark molasses (I don't think anyone is selling this commercially). after the third process is blackstrap. Now add a little blackstrap it white sugar and you have what seems to be sold as "raw sugar". Add a little more and you have light brown sugar, more and you have dark brown sugar, more. While I just like it on biscuits etc. I'm moving toward regular consumption as I experiment with the health benefits. All in all, I think the price is great when I get it by the gal, particularly from Walmart.

Perfect for top dressing my aging horse's feed.

My 30 year old horse has eating challenges, and is recovering from a sickness that cost him a lot of weight. This molasses product is a great additionm to his daily meals, encouraging him to eat all his rations, and regain his weight... along with a lot of TLC.

One of the best I've ever tried

Amazing blackstrap molasses! The texture, flavor, color, and the less sweet taste is exactly what is expected in blackstrap molasses. I can't find a better product for the price anywhere. Very pleased. I use this in coffee, tea, baking, among other things.
