My kids would take them off the shelf at the store every time just to sit on them . We have a bunch of little ones and only one couch so these were a must have to save myself a seat! The material is soft and fleece like . They are very nicely made and some of the best priced bean bag chairs on the market for toddlers . I would say it won't work for older kids , it is not quite as large as some other ones , but perfect for little ones ! ( I have sat On them before so you can always see them at the store in person to make a better assessment lol ) I gave it to the kids as a gift for Christmas ! And it was perfect for them . They absolutely love it ! Also no assembly required lol
