I don't have to depend on friends to pick me up and take me places, I can take it on the public transit, I can take myself to church, it doesn't have a very big basket, so I'm making one that fits over the back of the seat with the sack on the end for groceries. It gets me where I want to go since I'm not able to walk long distances and I have no car. I don't use it inside my house, but it goes a long way on a charge.
