Shipping is slowest ever but product is great

I toyed with giving this product 4 or 5 stars because of a few glitches. The first was the slowest shipping ever on any product I have ever ordered from Walmart. It took two & a half weeks. If you don't need this right away and are a patient person, then go for it. Be sure each side snaps hard into place when you are putting it together or it will keep falling apart. One of the glitches was the peg the lid snaps down on. I found it so difficult to raise the lid without moving or picking up the box. The lid closes so tight that it is difficult to raise it easily when you need to get into it. We took a hack saw and cut the peg off so the lid would lift easily with no problems. Where we cut it off does not show. Once that was tweaked, I loved it. It was larger than I expected (definitely not what I call a "mini") so I think it was a great buy for the money. We are storing the pool cover & pool toys in it. Note: It is not air tight and may take on a little water or a few insects if keeping outside in an uncovered spot. It is sturdy and color was true to picture. Would definitely hold a large back of dog or cat food and maybe more.

Works great as a delivery package bin

I bought this to use as a delivery package bin for my front stoop. I live in a very windy area and my stoop is very open so filling the base with sand was necessary and also very tedious through the small hole provided. The bin has not budged and the weather has not affected it. The only thing I don't like is that the lid is very difficult to open when it is shut completely. I don't want my delivery drivers to be detered from using the bin because it doesn't open easily, so I don't shut it completely. Even with the lid not sealed, I have not had any water get into the bin. It is also VERY roomy. My mail carrier put a very large box inside the bin because it was raining out. I was shocked that it fit because I had only intended it for small packages that may blow away. Very happy I got this.

Great for storage! Love it!

I use the Rubbermaid deck box to hold pet food. My first one I bought fifteen years ago and it is still in excellent shape. It has survived the harsh winter weather and I have washed it with the pressure washer many of times. I purchased two more for my outside pets.
