Great hard pastels

Love these pastels. They ARE HARD! Harder than chalk but make nice crisp lines and blend well with other pastel brands and charcoal. My recommendation is to sand down the sides of each one a bit before using, helps to release more pigment

Nice Portrait Pastels

These hard pastels are good for doing pastel drawings of people. The range of colors is perfect and their square shape is very useful for line drawings. They are delicate, though, and can't take much pressure without breaking, so I often use them in small pieces on their sides when doing skin tones, which works well.
