Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Shampoo by Shea Moisture for Unisex - 19.5 oz Shampoo

Little back story. I've got thick hair. Lots of thick hair. We are talking like in a braid from top to bottom as thick as my forearm thick hair, and I have decent forearms. I've always had dandruff and an itchy scalp. Embarrassing as I look like a dog with mange constantly scratching at my head. I've gone through years of eczema flair ups that only abated when I cut my waist long hair to about a couple inches long. I do NOT look good with short hair. I lived on benedryl for a very long time in order to keep the itching to a minimum. I've tried EVERY shampoo and conditioner known to man and then some. NOTHING EVER WORKED! I hated my hair and constantly fantesized about shaving it off so my scalp could breath. I usually wash my hair every two to three days sometimes four. Honestly it doesn't get greasy at all! Very porous hair that soaks up any moisture like a sponge. It weighs a lot when wet as well and takes hours and hours to dry if I leave it down. If I have it back, cuz that's how I have to wear it, it takes DAYS to dry! So I'm constantly pulling my hair down so it can get air. My scalp feels as though it's constantly smothered. The eczema leaves giant painful itchy lumps all over and feels as though my scalp is crackly like a dried up lakebed. I'm miserable. ALL. THE. TIME..... One day I came across the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus shampoo and thought why not. I've tried everything else can't hurt to add another to the long list of failures. Three weeks later I'm in total shock. I realized after the first week my scalp didn't itch nearly as much as it had previously. At the end of second week virtually NO itching and by the third my dandruff WAS GONE! Yes that's right GONE. O.M.G. Is this really happening? After who knows how long, I don't know when it started, it was OVER! I think I noticed it in my early teens, I'm now turning forty. So for almost thirty years I've been battling this. And it's done. To say this product is amazing is just not enough. For me it is a miracle. I'm assuming I'm allergic to one of the chemicals it lists that they are free of. That it was NOT because I wasn't rinsing well enough or that it was the constant wet scalp. I've not verified this. Just my hunch. Cost to much for an allergy test. I'm just relieved it's no longer an issue. So if you suffer from any of my above mentioned problems I strongly urge you to try this, and no they have not solicited this review. This is my honest response.
