Very disappointed in product when arrived

When I rec'd the Honeywell rth9585wf thermostat you could see it was used. The label on the inside on the wall plate was worn off almost. There were no directions for installing. After paying someone to install it, it didn't work. The inside temp read 39 and IT was stuck on 39 no matter what the temp was set at. Returned product without any issues to get a refund. I can't believe they would sell a used one advertising as new!!
