It is just as sturdy as any other umbrella, but with bells and whistles! We love it. We purchased at the beginning of the summer for our daughter's college graduation and it has held up well all season and into this one. Love this umbrella, fast delivery, quality fabric as well. Almost sent it back because the lights did not work but then realized you have to turn the solar panel at the top the umbrella off and then connect the 2 white wires together. Perfect and a good buy. Cant wait to put it up with my fall decorations.
