This item , although beautifully elegant in the picture , is very poorly packed by the manufacturer. The styrofoam sheeting they use is woefully thin and not moulded to the glass pieces as is done in quality pieces of this sort. That , paired with OBVIOUS forklift damage ( multiple 3-4" breaks in the outer cardboard box) resulted in a pile of tiny glass shards in the bottom of the box. The manufacturer promptly sent a replacement , but it arrived in the same condition. For the price , we can obtain a verifiably solid desk from a local furniture store , so that's we are heading .
