Great for active learning!

This is such a perfect set to present learning in a fun, active way! It's perfect for children developing hand eye coordination because of how safe the tools are, and it helps them actively learn about geology and rock formation in a way thay is accessible and fun. The tools included are safe but sturdy, and this set includes a pair of safety goggles and a large informational poster. I really like that this was enough to keep my son occupied for over an hour, in an off screen type of activity. He didn't feel like it was learning, but it sparked questions about how rocks are made, and where the types included could be found in nature. This is a really well thought out science based kit for kids, I would definitely do this again!

Fantastic, A lot of Fun

We had so much fun digging for these gems. Girls from 5 to 19 yrs old enjoyed it equally. They got excited every time they found them and definitely wanted to keep finding more.
