I bought this to help me see over the steering wheel a little better due to my short height in the car. Sometimes the sun would get in my eyes and nothing would help it besides being a little taller. Lol. This helped me to be at least three or more inches higher in the seat, which made it easier to block the sun from my eyes while driving. Turned out to work perfectly, and therefore was also more comforting with my back and was able to see better while driving. this cushion was not only very comfortable at made my vision a lot better and was more comfortable while driving. You can pile high the best foam and it won,'t work - I have tried that. what makes this different is the condensed bump right where your tailbone is. Also the foam used throughout is a good quality that doesn't squeeze down paper thin like marshmallow. I have sat on this for many hours and walk away with no body discomfort.This had to be doctor inspired. So grateful.
