they stack on top each other great, easy to assemble and holds many hard cover books without getting the sag and warp. they hold up extremely great, there is no difference between the ones I bought 5 years ago and the ones I just got which is fantastic for the growing home library that fills the wall in my daughter's room. the only thing I wish is the backing covered the whole back and not just every other cube. will definitely purchase again
