Unfortunately, this was marketed as a net that would keep birds out but still allow bees in. The holes are definitely too small for that. This is one of the main reasons i opted to go with this brand. I had several issues returning the item via Walmart (i made at least 4 attempts). Once I contacted the seller, i was told i could no longer return it as i was outside the return window. I don't recall seeing a return window when i purchased the item. I now have a cage that I don't need.
