No metal shards coming off my barbecue scrubber!

I got this to replace the wire brush I previously used after a bristle broke off. I mean, who needs metal shards in their burgers?! This one needs to be soaked in water before use but that extra step is worth it to see the steam work to help loosen the residue and the scrubber construction seems like it will last for a while but only time will tell.

Works great!

I was super skeptical of this product and whether it would work, but it does! My gas grill grate has never been this clean since new. The brush is a sponge covered by steel mesh. You have to dip the brush in a bowl water and then scrub the grill while hot. The steam and friction remove the black carbon off the grill grate. If the sponge gets dry, you obviously have to wet it again to get it to work. The brush only works if wet. I think some of the reviews don't understand this concept.

It works like it's supposed to. I appreciate that it doesn't have bristles that can potentially come off and get in the food the next time I grill. Works better to scrub water on and really clean the grates than my brush that does not have a sponge inside
