The fabric on this post is much sturdier than most of what I had found. I have a cat tree with scratching areas wrapped in sisal rope. She was able to shred them in a matter of weeks and then went back to trying to scratch the furniture. She has not been able to shred this post and she uses it daily. You can also choose a color that matches your decor if you have in a living room as I do.

I like this product, it was easy to assemble, no weird smells or anything and looks good in its spot, also holding up very well. The kitties like it and have used in lieu of the back of the chair, which was my hope. They are young so this has also become part of their MMA training regiment šŸ˜‚ as they run, hop from the chair then to the perch where they transform into lil lion kings. Somehow they just know to use this thing to scratch on, so cool. Five Stars!
