Mainstays Adjustable Tension Shower Curtain Rod for Small or Stall Showers, 27” - 40", Nickel

It is surprisingly difficult to find a decent shower curtain rod these days. The others I tried kind of fell apart or were screwed together in multiple joints which caused a lot of issues. I was pretty happy when I found this one and it's like the older rods where it's just press together a bit and mount it. Mine doesn't have any curves or anything from the weight of the shower curtain even though it's a heavier one and it was easy to hang the curtain off of. Tightening the adjuster went well too and I am really enjoying it not fall on my kid's heads like the last rod we tried did. Overall great product for a good price.

I already had a Mainstays Easy Hang Shower Rod in my bathroom and it has stood up so well, despite my roughhouse grandkids, for six years now without a single slip or mar. When I saw that this one extended all the way to 72” I thought it would be wonderful to put between the posts of my porch to hang clothes on to dry. I guess I should have measured first because it was 6” too short. However, all was not lost. I’m a disabled senior and I still prefer to dry my clothes the old fashioned way; by hanging them to dry. My arthritis won’t let me go up and down the porch stairs like I used to, so I put this shower rod right up above my washer! It’s a perfect way to dry the little things like socks and washcloths. I’m so happy! The thing I like about it is that I didn’t need any help to put it up, that way it doesn’t end up too high for me to reach. It has a super easy lock and unlock system for lengthening and shortening so I was able to get it nice and tight between the walls with just a few twists. I pulled on it to make sure it was good and snug and it was. My son-in-law will be so proud of me that I didn’t need his help! I like the rich chocolate brown color, too, so that it’s highly visible, against the backdrop of the light walls, and no one will bonk their head on it. The packaging says it’s chip and rust resistant and so if it’s anything like the Mainstays Easy Hang Shower Rod that I’ve been using in my bathroom, I believe them. In my experience, Mainstays always produces quality products at affordable prices. I am grateful for all the extra trips back and forth that this handy rod is going to save on my knees!
