There is a wire strand, 12.45ft in length, with 36 tiny glass bead LED lights. There's a water proof case for the 3 AA batteries (not included), making them suitable for outdoor applications. I have a brass lantern, typically for a candle, but these lights fit into it perfectly. They are designed to be ON for 6 hours, OFF for 18 hours, which is about right for social occasions when you might want to position them on a table top or mantle to add to the festivity of the occasion. To turn on the light, there's a button to press. Press it again, and the lights begin to twinkle! Press it a 3rd time, and the lights shut off. The lights are 'warm white'...not colored. I am very happy with the ambiance these lights provide, and I think you will enjoy them as well. 
One final word: although they are distributed by a US based company, they are fabricated in Cambodia. There is a 1-800 number provided for customer service if needed.

LOVING THESE LITTLE 'FAIRY LIGHTS'

I see these lights all the time where people put them in mason jars or later so and they looks so elegant and festive. But, as tiny as they are, I figured they had 5 or 6 strands inside. I was wrong. These little suckers put out a ton of light! I was terrified I would break them taking them out if the package, because the wire is so thin. But, they are pretty flexible. I love that it has a little control box that lets me turn them on, off, and twinkle. Oh my, the twinkle! I am loving the twinkle. It's not just flash on, flash off. They truly twinkle and it is so pretty. I recommend purchasing these for all your decorating. They make everything look a little more elegant and festive!

Better than expected

These lights are a beautiful addition to our fall decor. My wife has been wanting some lights to put in this lantern for several seasons. Finally got some and I wish i had just spent the money a while back. Happy wife, happy life. But let’s be serious for a second.. they really do look good. My wife likes to decorate for fall. But I am a Christmas person. So I look forward to these lights being mixed in some garland lining the fireplace. The lights have lasted a while with the battery that came with them. I actually expect the lights to exceed the threshold as we have been using them often since we got them. If any guy out there is wanting some simple to help his wife decorate. Get these and she will not be disappointed. The price point on the lights are worth the cost. If I had one complaint it would be the size of the box. It is quite large but it is brown. Which makes it pretty easy to hide behind or in things. We love it!

Beautiful addition

I just received these wire lights. They are so bright, and can be used indoor and outdoor. They have 2 settings, steady and twinkle. They use 3 AA batteries. I will be using them in my office window. The lights are on a bendable wire 12.45 feet long, and each light is spaced out about 3.5 inches. If your looking for a quality string of lights I highly recommend these!

Bright Wire Lights!

These little lights were the perfect addition to my holiday decorating. They’re perfect to put in a lantern, and would work for a mini tree or other decorating as well. They’re especially beautiful on the twinkle setting. They turn on and off easily with the push of a button.

Beautiful Christmas addition

The Better Homes & Gardens warm white / 36 count LED wire lights are a great addition to your holiday decorating or where ever you want a pretty soft light. I decided to purchase a glass vase from Walmart and put the wire lights intermingled with some Christmas bulbs to make a table center piece. I still may add some greenery as I get closer to the Christmas Holiday. The lights have a 2 function timer with 6 hours on, 18 hours OFF. The lights can be either steady on or twinkle. The cord is waterproof and the lights are made to be used outdoors. These would also look great wrapped around a wreath or tucked inside a lantern. They use 3 AA batteries. The only issue I would like to see improved upon is that I have to drape the battery box along the back outside of the vase because if I need or want to set the timer I have to have access to the battery box. Adding a remote control would be a huge improvement. Then I could hide the battery box inside the bottom of the vase where no one would see it. Beautiful lights how ever you choose to use them. just wish they came with a remote for ease of use.

Very Pretty Warm White Wire Lights

The Better Homes and Gardens thin wire lights run on 3 AA batteries. They say they are for outdoor use. They are very easy to turn on with the button on the battery case. It is one button that has 3 modes which are ON/Steady, Twinkle, and OFF. It is written on the back of the battery case what the modes are. I put these lights outside on my garden fence and they are so beautiful when they twinkle. They can be put into a glass decoration for some beautiful light design to enjoy. The lights are wrapped around a piece of cardboard so they don't get tangled while putting up. They also have a built in timer that stays on 6 hours and off for 18 hours so the battery will last longer than if they were on constantly. These lights could be much better if they were a solar powered so the batteries wouldn't need to be replaced.

Lights are easy to install and twinkle bright

The BH&G wire lights, 36 count LED are very pretty when lit. Thw strand is 
a good size, over 12 feet and long enough for a mantle, a wreath, or just 
gathered in a bowl for effect. The lights also stay lit or can be set to blink,
which is a nice effect . The only thing I dont like is that the battery
pack is very large. This is especially noticeable if using in a closed
craft container or in some other smaller confined space. The pack
is not easily hidden.

Shed a little light

When I ordered this set of lights on line, I thought they were a long string of lights that I could place under kitchen cabinets. I was wrong, these are Christmas or other decoration lights that work with 3 AA batteries. The lights are good if you want to decorate a door wreath or to place in a decorative vase or lantern like on the box. The wire is very thin like thread on what appears to be a copper material. There is also a on/off timer where you can leave it lit for 6 hours and off for 18. My wife has made a Christmas wreath and will use these lights on it and place on the front door.

Not what I expected

Need to add new batteries every week!  Not a good product!
