Pleasant surprise.....

I was a bit dismayed when I saw the mattress in 4 pieces.... but that made it easier to carry into the house. I bought this as a replacement for one that my cats had put their mark on, so the 4 pieces were a blessing in disguise. I was able to easily wrap each piece in 4 mil plastic for protection before putting into the cover, which was nicer than I expected and probably worth the cost of the ensemble by itself. I hope I don't have to buy another one any time soon, and I don't have to sleep on it, so comfort is not an issue from my perspective, but I would buyt this again if necessary.

You can't beat the price for this futon!

I was just looking for an inexpensive futon for a guest bedroom. I came upon this in the store..went home and ordered online with free shipping! Once it was put together I was amazed at how not only was it nice to look at (the side arms are constructed of solid wood!) it is a very sturdy bed with a fairly thick mattress! I would highly recommend this bed!

Good product but VERY POOR packaging !

I was actually very disappointed on how the futon mattress was shipped to my house. Of course it happened to rain the day I received it, and not only was there a hole in the box, but the cardboard the futon mattress was shipped in was slightly flimsy, and the mattress SHOULD HAVE been put in plastic wrapping, or a big bag but it was not. So when I received it, about 1/2 of the mattress was wet or very damp. If it had been wrapped in some type of plastic it wouldn't have been wet. And on part of the mattress that was wet, it felt very slimy like something might have been spilled on it. I decided to take a chance and opened it up and aired it out the next day to see if it would dry out and it was fine, but if this was my company that had shipped the product., I would have given myself a severe reprimand for even thinking of shipping the product, the way it was shipped to me ! I can only hope they can be a little smarter in the future when packaging their product, it was just not very bright.
