Great Value Salsa Verde is the BEST!
This is the best tasting and best textured store bought salsa verde I have ever had and I've tried my fair share over the years. An old friend use to make homemade salsa verde and this one reminds me of the one she made. Great stuff! She's past on some years ago, so this is the best I can do. Its thick, fresh tasting and priced just right. Some big brand names on the market, like Hernandez, are very thin texture and taste horrible. Watery comes to mind. La Victoria salsa verde is not bad, but Great Value Salsa Verde beats it, hands down. Get it if you can, cause it sells out quickly. Also, stay away from Picante brand salsa verde. Its a loser too.

Great stuff!
I found a recipe that required this much salsa verde, so I tried it and the recipe. It was an instant hit and is now on the regular meal schedule. A family size pack of chicken, 1 can each corn and black beans, both drained and the salsa. Crock Pot it. When the chicken is ready to shred, toss a package of cream cheese in and add the chicken back in. Done. Great for burritos, tacos and whatever you want. It's great by itself and this is exactly the medium salsa verde I was looking for.
