Fast pace but not too fast for my five year old. He is about as big as a 7 year old so just keep that in mind because it does say for 8-14 year olds. But it's perfect for my son. It stops as soon as he lifts his foot off the gas. There's a seat belt and two different speed levels. The length of charge is my only problem with it. It doesn't stay charged very long id guess 2 hours worth of fun.

My kids love it. As a mom i feel comfortable because it doesn't go as fast but fast enough for them to enjoy it. My 8 and 9 year old love it and have been on it since they got it for Christmas. I feel like the battery dies a little to fast but its expected since they are drifting it down and up the road the whole time lol. I am getting another one so both my kids can have their own. My 13 year old son did get on. The only thing with him is that he is tall so for taller kids I do recommend something else. Other than that love love love this.
