Instructions

Feed daily from a feeder or scattered on the ground. Organic Scratch is not fortified and generally should not comprise more than 10% of the diet. Provide your birds with a complete feed, like Manna Pro® Organic Starter Crumbles for chicks or Manna Pro Organic Layer Pellets for laying hens. Because of the larger particle size, Organic Scratch is generally not recommended for birds less than 8 weeks of age. Offer grit to birds fed Organic Scratch to help with breakdown and digestion of larger grain particles. Offer oyster shell to laying birds fed Organic Scratch to help ensure strong egg shells. Maintain a regular feeding schedule. Provide fresh, clean water at all times.

Low cost, convenient shipping, happy ducks

I'm buying this for ducks that frequent a pond where I live, some wild and some domestics that were abandoned there. They clearly love it -- they all come waddling madly to me when they see me coming. The quality of the scratch is a little variable, and it's occasionally too dusty. But -- it's very inexpensive, and Walmart's very low cost of shipping this straight to me is convenient beyond words. The combination can't be beat.

I prefer this scratch because it includes more than just cracked corn. The chickens really like the millet and so do the quail and other birds. It can double as bird seed for a lot of birds.
