Crystal Clear Pictures

Pros: - Easy to install - Pretty much 5 minute setup out of the box - Stable and fast webOS - Intuitive controls - Crystal clear picture quality; 4K Ultra HDTV! - TV is very thin and light - HDMI ports are all HDCP 2.2 - Includes one ARC (on HDMI2 port) for soundbar - HDMI ports are both on the side and on the bottom, for easier access to either - Includes Ethernet port - TV is Wifi-enabled - Supports all the standard video formats for videos on USB - Automatically changes input source when power on is detected on any video port (so when you turn on your Nintendo Switch or plug in a USB drive, this TV automatically changes the input source so you don't have to manually change the channel to it). - Bluetooth-enabled - Eco Cons: - Can't update webOS past 3.8 for now - Doesn't support .rv or .rm (realvideo) formats on current webOS for videos on USB - TV audio is not great - Only has 3 HDMI ports - Included stand is good enough, but cheap. I recommend buying a $30-$40 universal TV mount and mount it to the wall. - Limited older gen connection ports (ie. does not include AV input for older devices) This is a very good modern 4K Ultra HDTV picture-wise. The vivid picture quality is absolutely stunning. The brights are bright and beautiful, the dims are soft and comfortable to the eyes. The picture quality is so detailed, it'd be hard to go back to anything less than an Ultra HDTV. But don't count on it having the best audio quality with the TV's internal speakers. I feel that all flat-screen TV suffer from good internal audio quality. It just doesn't have room for good speaker hardware. Even if you were to buy an inexpensive $30-40 no-name-brand soundbar, the sound quality would be much better than a flat-screen TV's internal speakers. Besides great picture quality, webOS (LG's software) is very smooth, fast, and hiccup-free. It's very intuitive and easy to navigate. Everything I've thrown at it, it's been able to handle. The app store is where it's all at. It has a ton of popular apps, like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max, Youtube, etc. Each app is perfectly implemented and smooth, bringing all the familiar controls across all platforms (such as Roku, Google, and Amazon Fire). If you don't see an app there that you need though (such as Paramount+), chances are, it is either not available at all OR the current webOS doesn't support it. For now, this specific RCA TV is stuck with webOS version 3.xx. You can navigate to the settings, support, and click on the button to update, but it won't update past 3.xx (mine is 3.8), even though LG's webOS is currently in 4.xx and 5.xx. There is no support to manually update with a USB either. That option is just not available currently, or ever. So apps like Paramount+ will probably never appear in the webOS store for this TV if it can't update past 3.xx (or if the provider never wants to support older webOS software). But there are still tons of content and free TV programs, depending on your area. Before I plugged in my TV antenna, it already came with 120+ included channels (internet-powered TV channels, not apps) – but none of which I watched. The ports on this TV are all up-to-date, but they are limited. There's only a total of 3 HDMI ports available. If you ever want to connect a soundbar to the HDMI (ARC) port (mainly so that you can control the soundbar with your TV's included controller), you're now down to only 2 usable HDMI ports. That's very limiting. Yet, it has 2 USB ports. I can't even remember the last time I needed to use that many USB ports on a HDTV… but that is just me. Maybe YOU like to keep 2 USB flash drives connected…? Maybe. This TV also doesn't include any older connection ports, such as AV in/out. I don't think this is really necessary anyways, since you CAN buy an HDMI to AV adapter if you ever run into this problem. The remote is something I just have to talk about. The good is that it's very responsive and has all the buttons anyone would need to control this TV. It has the exact 2 apps I use the most often on the remote, which is Netflix and Amazon Prime. What are the chances! The bad is that it's a fur and lint magnet. Wow. I didn't know a remote controller could get this furry. I'd blow the fur off, and stuff floating in the room would land right back on it. I'd wipe it with my shirt, but of course, my shirt is covered with fur I couldn't see so it ALL ends up on the controller – making it even furrier than it was before. Also, I haven't found a way to reprogram the Netflix and Amazon Prime button to be replaced with other app shortcuts, but then again, I haven't spent much time looking into doing that either. The Wifi on this is really stable. I thought I had spotty internet in my bedroom, and I have put off getting a range-extender, but this TV has been able to just keep connected – unlike my iPhone, which says a lot about the Wifi reception on this TV. Overall, this is an excellent and affordable 55 inch 4K Ultra HDTV. I love the picture quality, the ease of the webOS's controls, the available apps, the wifi speed and stability, and the ease of mounting this onto the wall. It is seriously a lot lighter than it looks making it very easy to mount. The things I don't like though are the 3 HDMI ports, the internal speakers (which all flat-screen TVs suffer from), and the fur-collector (aka remote control). I'd gladly give up 1 USB port for an extra HDMI port, and I'm seriously considering substituting the original remote for a universal remote because the fur and lint bothers me that much. Other than that, I love this TV.

Great quality TV without spending big bucks.

I was very impressed by the RCA 55" SMART 4K UHD webOS TV. It is a large size screen with crisp quality and colors. The setup is easy to learn and apply. The unit has sturdy 2 point standing legs. The RCA unit uses LG setup AI, has a remote control, and has a connection for everything you need behind the television panel. The panel is hard to read or access without light especially for older people. The speaker is inadequate and needs an external speaker or sound system. Don't get my wrong it has audio but it needs a boost. For the price, it is a great quality TV and I highly recommend it.
