Top-notch All-Season Tire for Honda Fit

My 2019 Honda fit came with a basic set of tires from a different brand. I'll keep it brief in saying they were the worst-handling tires I've ever driven on, particularly in winter driving conditions. I am a pretty defensive driver and don't normally struggle in the snow, and those original tires zapped any confidence I had in my ability to stay on the road. Ahead of this coming winter, I decided it was time to invest in a proper set of All-Seasons. Enter Yokohama's Avid Ascend GT. I'd read great reviews about these tires, (albeit for pretty significantly less money in more common tire sizes) and thought I'd given them a try. From the minute I drove off the lot where I got these tires installed, I felt like I'd been handed back all of my driving confidence again. Even during those first 500mi, when tires often need to wear off that initial factory layer to develop more grip, these things hugged the ground around corners and kept me firmly planted exactly where I planned to have the car go. Handling in wet conditions has so far been great, and road noise is significantly less than the stock tires my car came with. I realize a lot of qualifiers are pretty subjective depending on the driver, but there was just no missing how much smoother and quieter my car drove on these things vs. the stock tires, especially when going over bumps/rougher roads. No more jarring thud sounds. I'm also seeing a small improvement in engine load thanks to these tires' lower rolling resistance. Whereas with the old tires, the CVT would run the engine right at 2K RPM when driving 60mph, I can now drive 62 - 63mph at the same RPM. Even if it's only a couple percent difference, I'll take it. That said, if you're driving a Honda Fit on stock tires and are hopeful/interested in having a little more confidence in your driving, I can't highly enough recommending this gem of a tire. It's a small investment for a huge improvement to ride quality, and I consider that kind of purchase well worth it.

Excellent like for like replacements of the factory original tired. please radials provide a quiet ride and superb handling. The shipment arrived on time and they were installed professionally, without any issues except. The only hiccup I experienced was my 7am appointment was not honored, because the automotive service department did not open on time.
