This APC Back-UPS offers power and surge protection for wireless networks, computers, gaming consoles and other electronics in your home or business. The 600VA (330W, 120V) floor/wall mount UPS has 7 total outlets, 5 of which are battery back up and surge protection, and 2 that are surge protection only. It has a surge energy rating of 490 Joules. It has one USB port for smart charging of personal devices. This battery backup is designed to power wireless home networking devices (router and modem) for hours during utility outages so you can stay connected and productive. Connect and charge mobile devices via the 1 USB port provides a maximum of 1.5A . The USB port will provide power when the UPS is both on utility and battery power. This computer backup offers lifetime guaranteed surge protection with a $75,000 equipment protection policy. The side of this 600VA UPS includes 2 keyhole sockets to easily mount the battery backup on a wall in hard to reach installations. The outlets are arranged with spaces to accommodate both average sized power plugs and transformer block power plugs. This UPS has a 3-year warranty and CE product certification. It is compatible with a dedicated user-replaceable battery, and the APC replacement battery cartridge helps restore UPS performance to the original specifications. Package Contains UPS, user manual.

Good space saving unit

As a now retired, former IT professional, I have purchased and installed many desktop and server room UPS. APC is a brand I have had good success with. when the battery died in my old UPS, I decided to upgrade to a model that took up less desk space. I have had this unit in place for over a month without issue. I have not had a real power outage during that time, but this unit tested well for me. It supports a 14" laptop, a 34" monitor, an ink jet printer, and misc. USB perifrials without issue.

Ordering the unit was very simple and straight forward. The owner manual was clear and descriptive. I charged the unit for around 24 hours and connected my irrigation sprinkler and Frontier internet unit to it. Everything works good. I have also taken a 3 year warranty just incase something goes wrong.

Bigger, better, cheaper than a new battery

I needed a new battery for my old APC UPS that provides backup power for my DVR and other TV components. APC tech showed me that a new UPS was cheaper than a new battery. I have had generic batteries leak and cause damage, so I did not want to go that way. This one is more compact than my old APC UPS (2006) and has one more backup plug.
