I like how fast it melted over fresh granola and a tad bit of microwave heat. For someone who has weekly chocolate cravings, these morsels are ideal and I control the amount I want in bites. I've long preferred special dark and semi sweet vs the nasty flavor of milk chocolate.

Small but mighty in taste! Lightly sweet with that hint of dark chocolate. I love these by the handful or in my Greek yogurt every morning! Also, they are gluten free! Pair these with dates or any other fruit or nut of choice to make a dessert! Hershey is the number one baking chocolate chip for me!

Best value per ounce of chocolate

These are the same price per ounce as the GV extra dark chocolate chips which contain more cocoa but they are also so pure that they are bitter. I wanted to try the Special Dark chips but I will continue to buy the GV brand in the future for more cocoa content. This Hersheys Special Dark is more like a candy. It is certainly sweet with a high level of fat but it does have more cocoa than the regular Hershey's chocolate bars. As we grow up we may decide that a little bitterness is OK when it means more cocoa bean, the magic ingredient.
