Jenny, a Chinese-American, founded the "Jenny Cookies Jenny Bakery" bear biscuits in Hong Kong. Making cookies was just a hobby for Jenny. In 2015, she unintentionally opened a cookie shop in Stanley, Hong Kong. The store was named after Jenny, "Jenny Bakery" in English and translated as "Jenny Cookies" in Chinese. Jenny likes to collect teddy bears, so the jar is specially designed with a bear pattern, also known as "Smart Bear Biscuits". When the store first opened, Jenny would deliver the goods in person every Wednesday. Smart Bear Biscuits has zero publicity and relies on word-of-mouth to spread the word. After ten years, it remains a classic, a box is hard to find, long queues are common, and Hong Kong is a wonder. |
