I put two strands up on a screened in porch. I bought these to replace some I bought from Lowes, Harbor Bay brand I think, that did not have the bulbs installed out of the box like these were. After putting all the bulbs in and plugging in to check if they worked I hung them, then after attaching a second strnd they would not work. I took those back and found these. The quality was superior, the loop to hang them from was sturdier and designed to fit the nail head better so if the wind rocked them around it would not come off and they just seemd better quality in every way. They come with a red film on the bulb for shipping which you need to peel off. I thought I had gotten red instead of white as I ordered until a friend pointed out to me the film was supposed to be taken off. I've had them about a month and they look and work great, great value.

These are the best value in string lights that we could find. We bought two sets off the shelf, and then liked them so much we bought 40 more sets to light up about 2,000 feet of walking area. The ability to link up to 20 sets together was a key factor for us.
