The SWEET GENOVESE BASIL, ‘Ocimum basilicum’, is a sweet basil that is particularly good for cooking and is also excellent for fresh use on salads or dressings. There is nothing like the smell of basil, it is the smell of summer. There is no more useful herb. The SWEET GENOVESE BASIL has just that, a sweeter taste than other basils. It is a good all “around basil” and it has a great flavor profile. Sweet Genovese Basil can be used in most Italian foods such as soups and pasta dishes and sauces.
