Easily digs its way through the ground with a little pressure by pushing. Love the fact that there's a pressure release valve on the gas tank so if it gets too hot, instead of exploding, it releases the pressure and a little gas from the tank itself.

I had to do 17 post holes 2 feet deep. With this auger I was able to do 3 or 4 per minute. It has enough power to cut through clay and moderate roots but, at the same time, won't rip out of your hands when it gets stuck on large roots. It starts very easily which is something I can't say about my Stihl line trimmer and Poulan chain saw. It is heavy enough to do the job, yet it can still be carried in one hand. I found that removing the spark plug cover was quite difficult and ultimately came off with the plug contact. I had to push the contact back into the plug wire without the plug cover and everything is working perfectly. I would absolutely buy this. Oh, wait . . . I already have one :-)
