LEGO Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor 75281 Anakin Skywalker Building Toy (248 Pieces)

I bought Anakin's Jedi Interceptor after I bought the recently released set, Ashoka's Jedi Interceptor, because I happened to come across it at the original retail price. It was a lucky find because now I can display it as a pair! I particularly love this minifigure version of Anakin because it comes with the fighter pilot head printing unlike most other versions where the head print looks as if he is at the tipping point of going to the dark side. He has leg printing but no arm printing (which is fine for me since he has the unique head print), and the typical obligatory R2D2 minifigure that's nothing special, but hey, you can never have too many R2D2 minifigures, right? The interceptor build is quite similar to the newer Ashoka's interceptor with minor differences. The first notable difference is that the R2 unit sits lower on Anakin's set due to the new wing angle build. Anakain's wings are not fixed at the angle, which still looks good to me, and I prefer the astromechs to sit lower so you only see its dome/head portion anyway. The other key difference is the cockpit. Anakin's cockpit opens without the front nose portion, which I prefer since it won't fall apart when opening sometimes, but the hinge mechanism's build style is floppy due to the lack of friction. Ahsoka's cockpit opens up with the front nose attached, but it is on a friction hinge so it is more stable. To me, it's just preferential. All in all, love this set and it pairs perfectly alongside the other.
