Dove candies stale

not only were they not in stock , far worse was their condition when we got them the family was shocked when they opened the individually wrapped candies every one of them was marbled with staleness hard and not fresh I wonder how long these things have been on the shelf certainly for years judging by the appearance I've attached a photo.
