Do I need a cadence sensor for my bike?

If you want to measure the rotations per minute (RPM), you should have a cadence sensor. It will measure the pedal revolutions similar to the way a pedometer measure distance, speed, and steps. Although some people use a pedometer on their bikes, it doesn't give as accurate information as a cadence sensor does.
