This item was packaged professionally and loaded ready to use. I would have liked to have had some directions with the piercer, but I searched on YouTube for the item and found the same with a person showing how to use it. It was easy to use, and I used ice on my ears, and it DID NOT hurt! I also ordered an after piercing product to keep my ears clean and free from infection .I highly recommend getting that as well.
