I got a large and XL to try. I kept the large. I'm normally a large in swimsuits and I have a 36G bra size (normally a size 12). I don't think the cups ran small. If anything the body portion of the suit is just a hair tight but in a smoothing way. The butt area was cheeky for me but I'm ok with that.

Very nice swimsuit, especially liked the metal detail between the cups. Nice fabric, pattern and good derrière coverage without being too much. The bust was too large for me, so I had to return, woukd be a better fit for a full B or bigger.
