No complicated configurations or technical jargon – just plug it in, connect the cables, and you're good to go! The goCoax MoCA 2.5 Ethernet Adapter is a worthy investment to enhance the home network's speed and reliability.

I bought this MoCA adapter to work with my Tablo TV antenna DVR, it worked very well for me. I did not even have to go into settings within the MoCA adapter to get it to work. I just plugged it into my Tablo with a short ethernet cable, then attached my coaxial cable network in my home into the MoCA adapter, turned on MoCA feature on my Cox gateway, plugged in my Tablo and MoCA adapter at the same time through the same 3 outlet cord that I plugged both devices into, and then waited for all electronic devices to boot up, and then everything connected up to each other as they should have. The network connection worked exactly like it did when I used a plain long ethernet cable to connect up my Tablo to my Cox gateway. If you set up your gateway to encrypt your MoCA cable network signals within your home, you will have to connect up a computer to the MoCA adapter ethernet jack to configure it for password protection to get the MoCA adapter to work. I did not encrypt my signals in my house, I did not believe it was necessary to do so. In case you wonder why I put no stars for the battery on this device. It is because it does not have a battery to be used with it. It plugs into your regular house 110-120 volt AC outlets. The no stars in the battery section should not discourage you from purchasing this item, it was something that should not have been an option for Walmart to put on the review section of this product.
