Delighted

I just started using it, but I am really pleased with how it works, cooking the rice and steaming the broccoli perfectly. i like the efficiency of it, as I can use one easy-to-use--and easy-to-clean--machine to cook my starch and veggies in about 20 minutes total.

Best rice cooker

This has to be one of the best rice cookers I have ever owned it cooks it quickly doesn't matter what kind of rice and it doesn't stick and that is a big thing for me. The rice cooker looks very nice and I'm glad I bought it. It's awesome.

How did I live this long without it?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years we've given rice cookers as gifts, but I've never gotten one for myself. Now we have a new house but I can't set the gas range can't low enough to cook rice on the stovetop as I've always done. So I decided to try a rice cooker, and since we've always had good experiences with Cuisinart, decided to get a small cooker for ourselves. I'm not really a gadget or appliance junkie, so was skeptical that it'd be worth sacrificing the counter space. But after I read one review that talked about steaming hardboiled eggs with it, I was really hooked. I've experimented a bit with water amounts for the basmati rice that we eat (it's not listed in the manual), and have also tried different timing for the eggs, and both are now yielding more consistent and successful results than when I did everything on the stove. The one thing I would advise is to definitely rinse your rice before cooking as listed in the manual. I've never done that before, but it does make a difference in the final product.
