Stir.Microwave at high 1 To 2 more minute(s) or until vermicelli is goldenbrown. Remove dish From microwave And allow To cool for 1 minute.Caution: dish will be hot. Slowly stir in 2 1/4 cups water And specialseasonings And one 14 1/2 oz can Of tomatoes, undrained, chopped. Coverand microwave, at high 19 To 21 minutes or until rice is tender. Letstand 3 minutes before serving. Range top: in a large skillet, combinerice-vermicelli mix And 2 tablespoons Of margarine, butter or spreadwith no trans fat. Saute over medium heat until vermicelli is goldenbrown, stirring frequently. Slowly stir in 2 cups water, specialseasonings And one 14 1/2 oz. Can Of tomatoes, undrained, chopped; bringto a boil. Cover And reduce heat To low. Simmer 15 To 20 minutes oruntil rice is tender. Or use 2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes or one 16ounce jar salsa, if desired.
