Just the right size for summer when you don't have coat pockets. It is padded front and back. Rear zipper pocket is great; you can hide your valuable there and wear the pack close to your chest in pickpocket area. It's such a right size, items you put inside won't travel all over the place, but it can hold quite a bit. I ended up buying another one.

I am loving this waist bag! its a nice color and the size is perfect. It jas the main compartment and a zipper on each side. A smart phone will not fit in side pockets. It's comfy and the strap is long so will fit on larger waist. I had to use a rubber band to help with the slack. Ive been showing it to everyone. its perfect.
