With its exclusive mix of natural and organic ingredients, it helps to improve soil conditions and provides both quick and slow release, natural, plant food. This rich planting soil incorporates kelp and alfalfa meal and is best used to amend garden beds to increase organic matter. To use, work up the native soil in the garden bed with a shovel or tiller and then place a 3 inch layer of Whitney Farms® Organic Planting Soil on the soil surface and mix into the ground at a depth of 6 inches.
