Great little dehumidifier for the price

I got this one to help dry out my basement - we were starting to notice mold growing on our stuff down there. I went and got a cheap older dehumidifier on Facebook to hold us over while this one came, and the older one works - but this one blows it out of the water. I was surprised how fast it got the water out of the air and it brought the RH down very quickly. I was skeptical when I unboxed it since it's really tiny - but it gets the job done. The only thing that's not ideal is the water tank is pretty small relative to how much water this thing pulls - you have to empty it multiple times a day if you're not using the hose like me. What I do is set it to run continuously for 4 hours at a time, which is just enough to fill the tank without tripping the full tank sensor. Empty and start another run. I'm hoping this helps it last a little longer since it won't be constantly cycling all the time trying to maintain a specific humidity level. After a lot of research, I came to the conclusion that these things are just not built to last - so just go for the most cost-effective one you can find that will handle your space, and BUY AN EXTENDED WARRENTY. It's not that expensive and will cover you when it eventually breaks, so you can buy a new one. I'm sure this one will fail within 1 or 2 years, but that's okay since it's covered.

it works better than any other dehumidifier we have tried. the little ones are just bad. this one takes up as much space as a kitchen trash can and will bring my whole house from 65% to 45% in about an hour and a half. stay daily use in Florida. the pump feature is essential.
