Has removable carry handle, a hide-away hanging hook, a USB charging port for portable devices, and three different sources of power: internal battery with solar cell, internal battery with dynamo crank, and conventional AAA battery compartment on bottom. Has push-button light control with 3 levels of brightness. Has red and green LEDs to show internal battery condition. Has an additional port that is not explained in the instruction sheet.

The Whetstone 36-LED solar and dynamo powered camping lantern works as they said it would. Didn't have any problems once I received the lantern. Powered it up using the dynamo crank handled for a minute turned the lights on and it worked. Took the lantern outside and let it set in the sun for the rest of the day; turn it on and it worked great giving real bright light. Will use this lantern for emergencies. WJ.

We took this lantern with us camping in Sequoia for the weekend and this lantern was the perfect size and brightness we needed. I really like the hook feature on the handle, it allowed us to hang it from the inside of our tent. And it stay charged the entire night with no batteries!
