This is a very effective cold sore cream. It really helps with faster healing, reduces the duration of the cold sore, and provides noticeable relief from the first applications. It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly.The tube is a bit small for the price, but considering that it does its job and truly helps heal the lesion, it is well worth buying. I highly recommend it.

The most effective medication I've used

looked in the mirror and saw the bump. started applying this. got up the next day and it hadn't advanced. got a prescription for valtrex and it never became more than a tiny bump. this plus medication is a life saver. who cares about the price. you only have to use a small amount so this little tube will last a very long time

The tube looks very small, but it's worth every penny. I'm sure that if I get another cold sore, I'll still have plenty of Abreva to treat it. The cold sore that can last well over a week and is normally quite painful, was almost completely gone in 4 days. I absolutely recommend Abreva for cold sores.

needed this item quickly and it was delivered same day ordered and delivered, did a good job clearing up the cold Sore, price a little steep for the size you get, but it did well on getting rid of problem.

I love Abreva. If you notice the symptoms of a cold sore when they start, Abreva will take care of it. I only wish the tube was different. You can very easily squeeze too much.

way to expensive for the amount you get. Would be nice if it came in a chapstick form and not so expensive. Used Blistex many many years ago and it worked well. Thought Id try this that was recommended by a friend. Way too pricy for my budget. Bought a larger one first from another supplier and decided to order another one to finish as my cold sore wasn't completely healed. Prob. should have paid attention to the size rather than price. Walmart was great on delivery wise as usual. Not totally their fault. Chalk it up to inflation.

usually even without treatment it lasts only 3 to 5 days I'm on my seventh day it makes it seem like it's not there but it seems to prolong the amount of time not shorten

I used Abreva a week after I had gotten my cold sores, I don't get them very often, but when I do they stay for weeks. Just make sure you know how your skin will react to the ointment. I used it, but after 2 days, it kept getting worse, making my cold sores so bad that it had contracted in my facial nerve. Which led to the spread of it to one side of my face. Please make sure that your skin will not have a bad reaction to this, like me. I'm not saying it doesn't work because my friend raved about it, which is what led me to use it. There are 2 pictures attached below, one when I got my cold sore, and one where you can see them spreading to my face. I'm only posting this to bring attention to this matter, not to bring harm to the company.
