It's simple to use and works great. The manual is just a few pages and set up takes minutes. Set it and forget it. Low tech, works without cell or wifi connection or even wall power! Should be a required purchase for anyone that lives in a rural area. I'm picking up more for friends and family.

I have a Midland wx radio I have owned for several years that was problem free and gave great service and wanted another for a bedroom that could be set up for my county only for severe weather alerts. This model works great and is very easy to set up and has a good easy to understand owners manual, would highly recommend.

I love this weather radio! You can program what alerts you want to receive (tornado, flood, tsunami, etc) and program for what counties (what county you are in and if you want, surrounding counties.) You can also silence the tests and other warnings you don't want to hear. I bought one for each bedroom so everyone can be weather aware.

Everyone needs this Weather Alert radio. It is easy to set up and program with multi-language available. It has a back lit blue screen making it easy to see. We got this radio just in time. We had a terrible storm with winds of 74 miles per hour and 8 hours of power outage. This radio continued to keep us updated with its battery backup. Definitely a great purchase.

We have a 15 year old Midland weather radio that still works great. A local TV weatherman suggested that a new one would be a good idea. The new unit arrived quickly and was very easy to program. We put the old one in the garage. Neither one has gone off yet as it's been a quiet spring. But we're prepared for what will surely come soon. Thank you for some extra piece of mind.

It works. The only stupid thing is that if u hit it too or shake it too hard when the wire is disconnected, the radio will cease to function because the batteries are dislodge. then u will be without lifesaving information and die in a tornado

I had to email the company about why there was no tornado warning to select. I was told it was embedded in the radio. Would’ve been nice that was in the instructions. Also we had severe weather awareness in Ohio and they sounded the sirens but the radio’s alarm never went off which is concerning

Had one of these radios and ordered more. I like the alerts when there is a watch or warning and that siren that goes off is a great feature. You can listen to the daily weather forecast as well just by pushing the "weather/snooze" button. Setup is very simple. Just be sure to put batteries in it. Depending on your home layout, you may have to move this near a window so that you can get good reception. That's my only drawback. In the country, reception only works near windows so you can't just place on an interior wall. There is an option to hang on a wall as well as for an external antenna but I have yet to find an "external antenna" that uses an RCA adapter and can be placed remotely to connect to the system. Our radio has alerted on tornado activity. If you live in the south, be sure to have one of these and check to make sure it is functional at least weekly. I would recommend you get one if not two. Get some for family and neighbors as well.
